Our second visit at Swissotel Bodrum Resort this season (summer 2025) and exceeding our expectations! Maryam is an amazing host and made our stay at the resort very relaxing and enjoyable. Maryam is always a pleasure to talk to - always greeting the guests with a smile, very friendly and accommodating and always willing to go an extra mile to ensure the guests are happy. Cannot express my gratitude enough for the excellent hospitality and services at the hotel that are tailored for each guest. Now...looking forward to early 2026 to see everybody again.

Hotel is in a very quiet part of Bodrum peninsula, which is good for families with children. It is however very far from the airport, so it takes extra time if one would like to travel around by car. Building and facilities are new and well maintained. It could be a good hotel, but the problem is with its staff. I am an ALL-Accor Diamond member and normally I experience very good and friendly treatment in most of Accor hotels I visit, especially since in Bodrum I was staying in one of the most expensive suits for six nights in this hotel. From the moment we arrived, I felt like an intruder. Most of the staff do not speak English or French. My credit card was charged on arrival, in Turkish lira, so the stay costed me additional 80€ of bank fees. The real problem is with electricity, which switches on and off during day and night. TV set in one bedroom was repeatedly turning on during the first night, in the morning I unplagued the thing from the wall but I lost one night of sleep. Another day I was caught under shower by complete darkness. When I notified receptionist about the problem, she told me that there are problems with electricity in Bodrum, and it was all I heard from her. Do not disturb button next to the front door works the reverse way, so instead of informing the cleaning staff of letting us sleep, it notifies them the opposite. The second control panel works well, but the first morning, after sleepless night because of the TV-set we were awakened early by the cleaners. Of course, no sorry, or apologies for inconvenience or any willingness to help. If you want anything, you need to remember to ask, e.g. no coffee capsules replaced, hunt the cleaner to get them (sic!), welcome bottle of wine, but no cork pull, etc. Breakfast is very simple for a 5* hotel. There is plenty of staff hanging around, but they are incredibly inefficient. After being served twice cold eggs we were picking them out ourselves from the kitchen (sic!). Coffee was also served cold, so we switched to tea which was a safe choice. The check out was a real farse, they presented me with a list of expenses, but it was completely incomprehensible, so I asked for explanation. I was told that there is problem with their computer system which mentions breakfast means dinner and the opposite, so effectively I don’t know for what I was charged at the end. Since, on top of 3.000€ I paid for the B&B, I spent 800€ on additional hotel services, I was expecting to be awarded the Accor points by the hotel accordingly. They “forgot” about it, only after intervention of Accor central customer service I received the points, complete waste of time for me and Accor customer service. The only bright point is the staff of the Italian restaurant in the roof top restaurant. So, my advice, avoid the hotel but go there for an evening meal at the restaurant, food is good, and the sunset view is stunning.

We have stayed at other Swissotels and have been impressed. Unfortunately this did not meet the standard. To start, the location is not ideal- isolated and windy. The property often smelled of sewage, to the point where we could smell it while we slept. Our comforter originally had huge hard lumps in it as if it was machine washed and left to dry. There had to be at least 20 lumps in it and then otherwise bare. We did ask for it to be replaced and they chose to move our whole room instead. It was also dirty- including the glass railing which had not been cleaned in some time and was covered in smudges and dirty fingerprints, and the gym which was just grubby. This just did not seem like a 5 star at all.

This friendly five star hotel ticked all the boxes. A great rooftop restaurant, a caring nurse to tend to my grazes, capacious but not included breakfast. Our room was large enough, well equipped with views of the ocean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
